This report is the fourth in a series on research relating to the professions registered with the HCPC. It is part of our commitment to building the evidence base of regulation and being innovative in our approach.

This qualitative study aimed to explore expectations of the role of the HPC as a regulator, initial expectations when preparing and lodging a complaint, case handling and the outcome of the fitness to practise process.

This report provides information about the number and types of approval visits, the outcome of these visits, the number and type of monitoring submissions, and the outcome of this monitoring.
