This report details the work conducted to review the programme of visits and annual monitoring activities for pre-registration education and training delivered by UK public ambulance services.

Education is responsible for monitoring and approving education programmes within the UK for the 15 professions that HCPC regulate which leads to registration within the UK

UK applicants have joined international applicants in being able to submit their application for HCPC registration completely online.

These organisations do work which may include promoting the profession, representing members, curriculum frameworks, post registration education and training and continuing professional development.

This paper presents highlights from our year in registration survey 2022 (formerly known as the new graduate survey), which seeks the views of those who have been HCPC-registered for a year about their education and training programme, how this prepared them to practice, and the first year in employment. 

A key part of our work is making sure we understand the experience of those going through education programmes through our Year in Registration survey.

This document gives you an overview of our approach to education and training, and focuses on pre-registration programme approval and monitoring.
