Our priorities and how we are doing

Strategy

The Council approves the overall strategy for the HCPC, setting out our medium term plans to deliver our functions.

Corporate / business plans

Departments prepare annual workplans to implement strategy. The workplans are presented to Council for discussion and approval at the March Council meeting each year, and are available from the agenda and papers for that meeting, via our Council meetings page.

Progress reports and statistics

Management information reporting departmental performance against the workplans is considered at every council meeting (with the exception of the October meeting).

In addition, we publish annual reports on our Fitness to Practise and Education functions.

Vision and values

Our vision is to be recognised internationally as a model of good practice in public protection through the regulation of health and care professionals.
Our values are:

  • Transparency
  • Collaboration
  • Responsiveness
  • Value for money
  • High quality service
